One reason I started writing music about climate and sustainability is because I needed an outlet for the complex and difficult emotions associated with working in this field. Before I learned to use music to help me process these emotions, I bottled them up, and it wasn’t healthy. From my own network of sustainability professionals, I know I'm not the only one who's used that coping mechanism.

I believe that for sustainability work to be personally sustainable for the people doing it, we all need to find our outlets.

I host workshops to show and tell my story about finding my outlet for climate emotions, and help others do the same, though personal reflection and group discussion. Learn about one past example here.
